Emergence Journal

Introducing our flagship interdisciplinary, inter-civilizations journal to expand horizons of understanding of life and society

Updates
March 2024-Sept 2024

In a globalised world of ideas, no borders exist. The landscape of narratives is broad, but dominated by default, conventional paradigms which attract intellectual and creative minds into their valleys. However, conventional ways of understanding the world - right from conceptions of reality and its perception, to the practical problems of of everday living cannot be resolved in those valleys. Instead, we must strive to bring novel narratives to light through cross-disciplinary, cross-civilisational synergies. Through such interactions, we build emergent patterns with the possibility of re-imagining the world.

‍The Emergence Journal provides a platform for researchers to explore inter-civilizational narratives that are positively applicable to today's challenges, and a window for earnest readers to engage in this philosophical innovation.

Integrating worldviews

Emergence is a space that seeks to integrated worldviews to build flourishing societies. As an academic and semi-academic journal, we bring together perspectives from across histories and geogrpahies to inform key societal discourse across cultural and political landscapes.

Novel ideas; timeless values

Society is in a constant flux, chaos and order, stability and novelty. In a VUCA world, micro-behaviour can lead to tipping points that either produce breakthroughs in human edneavour or catastrophic collapse of systems. Emergence is therefore a simultaneous pursuit of acknowledging novelty and change whilst embracing timeless values.
